Commercial roofing that keeps the business running
A commercial roof leak is more than a repair. It can damage inventory, equipment and finishes, interrupt business and create liability. We work with building owners, property managers and business operators around Tupelo and Lee County to fix leaks fast and plan roof work that fits how the building is used.
Commercial roof types we work on
- Low-slope and flat roofs. Common on retail strips, offices and older commercial buildings. Membrane systems and built-up roofs are prone to ponding, seam failures and flashing leaks.
- Metal roofs. Standing seam and exposed-fastener panels for shops, warehouses and light industrial buildings. See metal roofing.
- Steep-slope commercial. Churches, offices and multi-family buildings with shingle or metal roofs.
Services
- Leak repair. Finding the true source, including at rooftop units, drains, penetrations and parapets.
- Roof inspections. Condition reports for owners planning budgets, buying a building or documenting damage.
- Re-roofing and replacement. Tear-off or recover, depending on what the existing roof and structure allow.
- Flashing and sealing. Repairs at edges, curbs, penetrations and transitions.
- Storm damage. Inspection and repair after wind and hail. See storm damage roofing.
- Drainage. Commercial gutters and downspouts that carry water away from the building.
How we work with commercial customers
- Clear scope and pricing before work begins
- Scheduling that respects business hours and access
- Job-site safety and property protection
- Documentation, including photos, useful for insurance and records

Maintenance that extends commercial roof life
A commercial roof is an asset, and inspection and maintenance are far cheaper than premature replacement. We recommend a roof check at least once a year and after every major storm. Common maintenance items include clearing drains and scuppers, resealing flashing and seams, re-securing loose edge metal, and repairing punctures from rooftop equipment traffic.
Roof systems for commercial buildings
| System | Typical use | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Standing seam or ribbed metal | Warehouses, shops, churches, light industrial | Durable and quick to install |
| Single-ply membrane (such as TPO or EPDM) | Low-slope offices, retail, strip centers | Common on flat roofs; seams and flashing are the weak points |
| Modified bitumen / built-up | Low-slope roofs | Multi-layer systems; long track record |
| Steep-slope shingle or metal | Churches, offices, multifamily | Similar to residential roofing |
Common problems we see, and how we fix them
Ponding water on flat roofs
Standing water stresses membranes and seams, and adds weight. It points to drainage or slope problems.
Seam and flashing failures
Membrane seams and edge flashing open up with age and movement, letting water in.
Clogged drains and scuppers
Blocked drains cause ponding and overflow. Regular clearing prevents damage.
Damage around rooftop equipment
HVAC units and penetrations cause punctures, worn spots and failed seals.
Blistering and membrane wear
Sun and age cause blistering and cracking, especially on older systems.
Loose or corroded metal panels
Fasteners back out and panels corrode at cut edges and laps.
Storm and hail damage
Punctures, bruising and lifted edges after severe weather that may be hidden until a leak appears.
